# oneshotprompts > A free prompt editor for motion design. A person describes a video, animation or motion piece in plain words; the editor links what they describe to a vocabulary of 923 motion design techniques (each with a plain one-sentence definition, many with a live example), and writes one complete prompt to paste into Claude, ChatGPT or Codex. ## For AI agents: the editor has tools (WebMCP) The editor at https://oneshotprompts.com/ registers WebMCP tools (`document.modelContext`) in browsers that support WebMCP. If you are an agent working in that tab, use the tools instead of clicking and reading the screen. Everything runs in the person's page, and they can undo each change with the ↶ button. - `read_prompt`: the prompt in its text format, with scenes and timings, blanks still to fill, linked techniques and settings. Start here. - `get_writing_guide`: how the text format works (also below). - `write_prompt` / `edit_prompt`: replace the whole text, or one exact piece of it. - `search_techniques` / `get_technique`: find techniques by name, other names or plain description; returns ids to link. - `get_settings` / `change_setting`: shape, length, style, look, sound, attachments, how far to take it, what to deliver, and the model. - `list_ideas` / `start_from` / `add_scene`: ready-made starting points and scene types. - `get_final_prompt`: the complete prompt the person pastes into their AI. ## The text format Plain prose with a little markup: - Plain sentences describe the piece in everyday words. The editor links phrases that name a known technique by itself. - `## Title (3s)` on its own line starts a scene. The length is optional; scenes without one share the time left. - `- ` or `1. ` at the start of a line is a step inside a scene. - `[square brackets]` with nothing after them are a blank: a detail the person still has to fill in, like `[my app's name]`. Leave a blank instead of inventing facts you don't know. - `[your words]{term-id}` links the person's own words to a technique, so the finished prompt includes its exact definition, e.g. `the card [pops in with a little bounce]{overshoot-bounce-in}`. - `{term-id}` on its own writes the technique's name. - Settings on a link go after bars, all optional: `{term-id|strength=subtle|speed=faster|when=1.5-3|on=the logo}`. `when` is seconds on the piece's timeline; `on` is what it applies to. Whole-piece settings are not written in the text; they are set with `change_setting` and read as a sentence under the text ("Make it wide, 12 seconds and calm…"). ## Pages - [All techniques](https://oneshotprompts.com/techniques/): every technique with its definition; each has a page at `/techniques//`. - [For AI agents](https://oneshotprompts.com/agents/): the same for people, with an instruction to paste into an agent. - [Made with it](https://oneshotprompts.com/made/): real results from real prompts. - [About](https://oneshotprompts.com/about/) - [Privacy](https://oneshotprompts.com/privacy/): what a person writes stays in their browser.
